It's important to review this policy thoroughly prior to confirming a reservation. When you reserve a yacht charter with CommonsConnectivity, you accept and consent to these terms for refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Complete refund excluding payment processing charges
Processing Time: 5-7 business days
Processing Fee: €50 for card payments
Conditions: Cancellation must be submitted formally through email or telephone
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Half the full cost of the charter
Processing Time: 7-10 business days
Processing Fee: €25 taken from the refund amount
Conditions: Must present a valid reason; administrative expenses incurred
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Eligible for: Refunds are not provided
Exception: Consideration given to emergency cases
Alternative: The company may offer a voucher for the charter at their discretion
Conditions: Supporting documents required for emergencies
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Weather Guarantee
Your safety is our primary concern. In the event that our skilled captain deems weather conditions perilous for charter activities, we provide adaptable alternatives:
- Full Refund: A complete reimbursement if it's not feasible to find another date
- Reschedule: Rearrange your booking to an upcoming available slot with no extra charge
- Charter Credit: Opt for a voucher that's usable for one year from the date of the original excursion
Weather Assessment Process
The evaluation of weather involves:
- Analyzing the velocity and trajectories of wind
- Studying sea state and the scale of waves
- Examining visibility and projected precipitation levels
- Notifications and instructions from the Coast Guard
- A thorough safety check by the professional captain
Decision Timeline: Determinations on weather-induced cancellations are concluded a minimum four hours before the time set for departure.
Medical Emergency Refunds
Emergency Circumstances
We are sympathetic to the occurrence of health crises. Possible situations warranting exceptional contemplation include:
- An unexpected sickness or injury necessitating inpatient medical care
- A member of the immediate family passing away
- Enlistment or urgent summons for military duties
- A summons for jury service or a legal injunction
- Catastrophic events disrupting travel plans
Documentation Requirements
For the expedition of emergency refund requests, we ask for:
- A statement from a healthcare facility or documentation of hospital admittance
- A certificate confirming a family death (when needed)
- Authorized orders from the military
- Notification of a court appearance or order for jury duty
- Notices of travel restrictions or declarations of a state of emergency
Processing: Requests for reimbursements due to emergencies are generally handled within a timeframe of three to five working days following submission of the necessary paperwork.
Termination of Operations
Technical Failures
Should the vessel assigned to you suffer from irreparable technical issues:
- Substitute Vessel: We will endeavor to arrange a vessel of similar quality
- Complete Refund: Provided when an equivalent option is not available
- Partial Reimbursement: Offered if the replacement vessel is priced differently
- Compensation: We may present additional recompense for the trouble caused
Unavailable Crew
In the uncommon event that the certified crew is not available:
- A substitute crew will be provided if feasible
- Entire refund in case the charter cannot proceed
- Option to reschedule with no extra charge
Reimbursement Procedures
Means of Payment
Returned funds will be processed via your original payment method:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days

€50 charge for annulments requested more than 72 hours beforehand

€25 fee for refunding through bank transactions

Credit Policies for Charters
Provision Circumstances for Credits
Credits for charters could be provided as an alternative to reimbursements under these situations:
- Eleventh-hour cancellations (under 24 hours notice)
- Cancellations due to adverse weather conditions
- Requests to voluntarily reschedule
- Service interruptions
Terms for Credits
- Validity: Effective for 12 months from the date of issuance
- Transferability: Credits are non-transferrable
- Value: Corresponds with the full value of the charter; exempt from processing fees
- Use: Applicable to any charter that is available
- Expiry: Credits will not be extended past a 12-month period
Partial Service Refunds
Service Interruptions
In the event that your booked charter experiences disruptions due to reasons we are responsible for:
- Refund proportional to the time not used
- Equivalent value credit for a future charter
- Complimentary additional services or enhancements
Guest-Related Interruptions
Should the charter need to be ended ahead of time owing to a guest's behavior or breach of safety rules:
- No compensation for the period not utilized
- Entire charge is still payable
- Extra fees may be incurred
Dispute Resolution
Should you contest a verdict on a refund, the following options are available to you:
- Appeal for an evaluation by our administration staff
- Submit further evidence or records
- Engage consumer rights entities for dispute settlement
- Explore legal options under the relevant laws

- How you would prefer to receive the refund
Step 3: Review and Processing
Our customer service team will confirm receipt of your claim within one day, assess compliance with this policy, deliver a verdict in two days, and execute approved refunds within the prescribed periods.
Important Notes
- Refund demands must be recorded in writing
- Refund transactions are conducted in € no matter the original payment currency
- Acquisition of travel insurance is highly advised
- This policy can change with notification of 30 days
- Refunds are adjusted for relevant taxes and legal stipulations
